Daoust Lestage Lizotte Stecker announces the nomination of Maria José Benech as Partner and names four new Associates.

Daoust Lestage Lizotte Stecker is pleased to announce the appointment of architect Maria José Benech as Partner.

This announcement marks an important milestone in the continuity of the practice, while reaffirming the firm’s commitment to building on its approach developed over more than 35 years, from the scale of the city to the object.

Since the beginning of her career at Daoust Lestage Lizotte Stecker, Maria has played a key role in the development of the firm’s architectural and urban design projects. Her ability to perceive and interpret the characteristics of a place with sensitivity, combined with her mastery of architectural tectonics, allows her to design elegant and refined interventions that blend harmoniously with their context. A passionate and creative project manager, she values close collaboration with both professional teams and clients, ensuring a consistent and rigorous approach at every stage of the project.

Maria has played a key role in several of the firm’s major projects, including the Samuel De Champlain Promenade, where she contributed to the design of phases 1 and 3, both of which received the Governor General’s Medal for Architecture. She also participated in the development of the new UQTR campus, the design of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT in Toronto, and Place des Canotiers, an iconic development located at the foot of Old Quebec.

Daoust Lestage Lizotte Stecker also announces the appointment of four new Associates, all architects, to highlight their essential contribution to the firm’s growth and development: Alexandre Boulianne, David Gilbert, Anthony Bouchard, and Dominique Morin-Robitaille.
