Inauguration of the Place des Canotiers

11/06/2017

The Place des Canotiers project involved the transformation and development of an emblematic site situated at the foot of Old Quebec, part of the Unesco World Heritage List.  Designed to restore distinction to an area previously used as an open-air parking lot, the Place des Canotiers is now the largest public space in Old Quebec with nearly 20,000 square metres accessible to residents and visitors.  The project has involved some considerable challenges, including the design of a multi-story parking structure of 389 spaces in a highly visible location situated on the edge of the river.

Thanks to all of the 725 collaborators | project managers, design team, construction team | who contributed to this realization with passion, knowledge and expertise.
